The Case Of The Talisman Altar

It was almost two months ago that I received the following missive from astute Field Agent, Petaluma Strong:

“Dearest Magical Specialist,

While walking around McNear park on Independence Day, I saw a most amazing sight!
I can only imagine that it's the result of some serious Petaluma Magic!!

A magical portal of some kind seems to have opened up on the west side of the park, between 11th and 10th streets. It's mostly black, but has the most wondrous door on the front that invites people in. It seems to be a place where townsfolk can wordlessly and anonymously exchange ideas without ever meeting. I don't know how it works, but it seems to be powered by the strength of the town's connection to ITSELF!

I think it's safe, but in the public interest it may be a good idea for you and your expert miniature offspring-agents to check it out ASAP.
